#TuesdayMotivation
#TuesdayMotivation is here.
Happiness is hard work.
It’s a thought I keep having.
Why do I expect to be happy?
Did I expect to play professional basketball when I was 14?
No, I worked at it super duper hard and eventually did it.
And maybe happiness doesn’t always require the exact answer you seek.
Maybe it’s letting go of the answer and working harder to live in happy ways.
Find joy in the small things.
Find peace in simplicity.
Find rest in solitude and leisure time and authentic friendships.
Whatever you choose to do, happiness is going to take work.
Why?
Because living in the now takes hard work.
Happiness requires you to show up and play.
Whether running to the kitchen and sliding to the fridge for your morning protein shake, smiling at the old lady that can’t turn quickly enough out of the grocery store, or dancing to reggae in your living room when your girlfriend comes home, the harder you work at playing the game of life, (I’m convinced) the happier you’ll be.
