stay true to yourself
on clarity
i write in the morning when my mind is blank
and the emails haven’t piled up
and the world isn’t moving quickly
and the sun is crowning over the horizon fresher than a california grapefruit.
no one has called me
there’s no unhappy renter
my cpa doesn’t need me
my brother isn’t asking for the excel expenses
my mother hasn’t texted the morning pickleball news.
this is clarity — a safe space in full immersion of my craft.
a certain quiet happens when you work in clarity
like playing music, or writing code, or watching a good movie —
you lose track of time
you get mesmerized in the elegance of action.
the more you live in clarity,
the clearer it becomes what you must do.
