His advice isn't necessarily wrong here. You have to focus on your one thing and master the mindset of success. You can't buy luxury and be comfortable when your personal revenue doens't warrant it.
If someone's goal is to become a millionaire, it will mindset of hard work and giving up what a majority does.
Like in 1% of pro sports, kids in my school want to go the beach, I went to the gym and then met with them after.
Kids went to the movies and then drank at house parties. I'd go lift and workout and then meet them at the house party and drink mountain dew instead of beer.
The point is, taking the unvconventional path to your goals may be needed, whether you start a business, stop spendin money on what everyone else is spending money on, buying an epoxy floor company, or wine distribution chain, you'll have to
be able to keep your processes aligned with your financial goals.
I don't believe you have to completely shut off your entire life and not do anything fun. That's ridiculous (which I guess is your main point).
