Wow. Interesting read. I never really thought about this. Living near Amsterdam, I see the sex workers as a normal part of every day life. Yet, I feel this guilt when I see them. Are they okay? Are they being treated with respect? I also think the sex workers need more regulation, not less. Like if our society didn’t sweep this under the rug, we could somehow make their lives more respectable?

Why do we have an black market sex worker industry, where there is manipulation, drugs, addictions, and the such? I am clueless about the research in that areas and was wondering your thoughts how to bring sex work into a healthier — both financially and regulatory — arena for all those involved.
